The following information was provided to me by my State Representative. Michigan passed Public Act 312 so you could write your own Durable Power of Attorney. While this Durable Power of Attorney will serve you well in an emergency, there is no substitute for good legal advice when it comes to drawing up legal documents. I would encourage to use this document as a starting point, to collect your thoughts and then take the document to your attorney for the finishing touches.
