The firm has one partner (Principal) currently. Mr. Woodbury started his public accounting career in 1970 with one of the then "Big Eight" accounting firms. He has a bachelor's degree from Michigan Technological University and an MBA from Central Michigan University.

Besides being managing partner, Mr. Woodbury practices in all areas of the firm's practice.

Mr. Woodbury also teaches Cost Accounting, Computerized Accounting, Advanced Accounting, and Auditing for Finlandia University.

Other Professional Staff

Kirk Beyer joined our staff in January 2000. Kirk is 1994 graduate of Northern Michigan University with an accounting degree. Kirk first worked in industry after finishing college. Kirk has also worked for a regional CPA Firm in Iron Mountain, MI. Kirk has been involved in all aspects of our firms practice. One of Kirk's goals is to study for and pass the CPA exam.  Kirk has played an instrumental role in establishing Copper County Moose Lodge 2571 and currently sits on their board of directors. Kirk keeps busy away from work coaching little league baseball and junior hockey teams.   Kirk resides in Pelkie with his wife, Kim and four sons, Wyatt, Grayson, Ewen, and Zane.

 

Shannon Petrelius is our office manager and she answers the phone and keeps the office running smoothly.

 

One or more people  join our staff for tax season and  prepare tax returns.  When ever possible these people are college graduates.

 

For tax season 2005 the following people have joined our staff:

 

  • Jun Zhang has a bachelor degree in Accounting and a MBA from the University of Mississippi.

 

  • Lindsay Roy has a bachelor degree in Accounting from Northern Michigan University

 

  • Pamela Long has a bachelor degree from Michigan Technological University

 

In addition Kathleen Hongisto is doing an internship with us as part of her Senior Level classes at Finlandia University.

An additional, usually a person joins the firm each fall as a co-op student from a local High School.  You can find this person in our office most afternoons, learning how to apply what she has learned in school to real life situations.

Additional temporary support staff will be hired to help carry the heavy workload during tax season.
